About:

For 23 years the Easy Living Home Elevators brand has been dedicated to shaping the elevator industry, whether it’s Australia’s iconic Domus elevators or introducing revolutionary technology. With over 9800+ elevators installed Australia wide, their passion for quality, reliability and great service is second to none.

Our task was to take the existing website, which the client felt no longer effectively reflected the business, and build something that they not only were proud to call their own, but could also be used as an efficient tool for their sales team during meetings.

1. Evaluating the core content

At the time of engaging The Honest Agency, the Easy Living website had become an unruly beast that needed to be tamed. An abundance of content existed within a scattered sitemap, making it difficult for visitors to gather the information they required.

To tame the beast, our team evaluated the entirety of the website content with the client to establish a hierarchy of information, and develop an intuitive user journey that took the stress out of navigating through the website.

2. Website development approach

Having been briefed that the Easy Living team required the ability to perform updates to content on their own, our team went about assessing our traditional development methods to see where more user-friendly practices could be implemented.

In doing so, we outlined the key areas of the website where updates were to be most frequently performed, and built them with methods that allow the client to refresh content without risking any significant changes to the design.

Modern navigation.

With 20+ pages on the website, ease of navigation was a big concern. Our solution was to utilise a “mega menu” allowing customers to easily determine what page they needed to visit by referencing a short description and associated image for each page.

Get in touch with ease.

To allow customers to easily get in touch with one of the six easy living showrooms we implemented a floating contact button throughout the website that allows visitors to find contact details, send emails, or chat directly to the Easy Living team.

Improved elevator pages.

Customers can now easily access images, features, technical specs, case studies, technical drawings, and testimonials for each elevator in the range – all in one place.

Results

What did the project achieve?

61.54% increase in contact form enquiries

Since launching the website, the Easy Living team has seen just over a 60% increase in business enquiries through the contact forms on the website – and that’s without including enquiries made through direct calls and emails! Not bad, eh?

A powerful sales tool

Upon launching the website, the project was shown to the Easy Living sales team to get their thoughts on their new sales tool. The feedback we got from the team was awesome, as they said they ‘loved it’ and ‘loved the magazine look’.

An Ongoing Relationship

Having designed and developed the website as an improvement on the previous version, we moved on to building additional improvements to the website, and additional tools to assist their Sales team.
