About:

Boomtown represents the 8.8m residents living in regional Australia. One of the largest and fastest growing markets for brands to tap into.

Despite 36% of the country’s population living in regional Australia, and the residents of Boomtown having a relative abundance of both time and disposable income, only 10% of national media budgets are spent regionally.

Boomtown engaged The Honest Agency to build a website that would effectively communicate these opportunities to brands and advertising agencies, educating them to understand the untapped value of these markets for their future campaigns.

1. User Journey

Our primary directive was creating a user journey that flows the user through the pages of the website to establish a well-rounded understanding of the Boomtown entity, and their goals.

To tackle this challenge, we performed a month of data collection on the previous website. This allowed us to make educated, and statistic-led decisions when creating the user journey and paths to conversion within the website.

As a young, hungry, and growing digital agency, this project with Boomtown Media was our first experience with a larger, corporate brand and website, and the expectations that come with such assignments.

With such a bold and vibrant brand to work with, our team had a blast taking these styles and creating a website design that would be a seamless continuation of the existing marketing materials.

To assist with navigation throughout the website, and as a means of creating stance for the business, our team designed a beautiful, easily-navigable full screen menu system.

As a part of their 2020 business goals, Boomtown launched a series of educational events around Australia for both marketers and non-marketers to learn about the benefits of advertising in regional Australia.

What did the project achieve?

Top Ranking Website

SEO Ranks increased by 1088 across 18 keywords in the first 3 months of SEO. Now ranking top of page one for a wide range of desired keywords.

More Traffic, Less Bounces

The website saw a 5.9% decrease in website bounce rate as well as a 34.28% increase in website traffic overall.

We now have an ongoing relationship with the client handling their design, development and online advertising needs as their company grows and evolves.
